About EZDriveMA

In 2012, MassDOT began plans to transition to an all-electronic tolling system, now known as the EZDriveMA  Program. The new system opened October 28, 2016 and now operates on the following MassDOT roads:

  • Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90)
  • Sumner Tunnel
  • Callahan Tunnel
  • Tobin Memorial Bridge

EZDriveMA Will

  • Save you time and money.
  • Increase safety for the traveling public.
  • End sudden braking and congestion at toll plazas.
  • Improve air quality by reducing emissions from vehicles idling in toll lanes.

Toll Plaza Demolition Project

On October 28, 2016; Toll Plaza Demolition and Roadway Reconstruction began on the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). All work is projected to be completed by the end of 2017. Visit the Toll Plaza Demolition Project webpage to learn more.
