Due Diligence Notification of Unclaimed Funds
On July 21, 2025, MassDOT mailed letters to customers who have an account with the EZDriveMA program but whose accounts have been inactive for at least three years.
The notice informs recipients of their current credit balance and advises them to return their transponder, if applicable. This notice is not a request for payment, but rather to inform the recipient that they have a credit with EZDriveMA.
If the recipient is interested in these funds and wishes to prevent the funds from being reported to the Unclaimed Property Division in the Department of the State Treasurer (“Department”), or if they would like to keep their EZDriveMA account active, they are instructed to complete and sign the enclosed acknowledgment notice that was included in the mailing.
The completed notice can be returned to:
Massachusetts Department of Transportation
EZDriveMA Customer Service Center
Attention: Unclaimed Funds-EZP
27 Midstate Drive, Suite 100
Auburn, MA 01501
If the recipient does not respond to the notice by September 19, 2025, the funds (if any) will be transferred to the Department of the State Treasurer, and the corresponding EZDriveMA account will be closed.
